Peach Pit with Briston Maroney & BNNY

Welcome back, friends.


On June 18th, 2025, the Long Hair, Long Life Tour came through The House of Blues in Houston, TX and it was PACKED. Fans crammed into the venue for a night of dreamy indie rock and great performances from Peach Pit, Briston Maroney, and opener BNNY. Immaculate vibes don’t even begin to cover it.


Kicking things off was BNNY, a Chicago-based band led by Jess Viscius. Their stripped back, slow sound filled the room in a kind of beautiful stillness. BNNY’s set was quiet and atmospheric. Definitely check them out if you haven’t already.


Next up: Briston Maroney. He brought the southern twang and emotional fire he’s become known for. There’s just something about the way Briston performs, it’s messy in the most beautiful, chaotic way. He performed fan favorites like “Freakin’ Out on the Interstate” and “Small Talk”. The stage set up was interesting for sure- there were rocks, moss and a few creatures scattered across the stage. At one point there was even a campfire and an acoustic guitar. All in all, Briston Maroney put on an unforgettable performance.


Closing out the night was Vancouver’s own Peach Pit, bringing their signature laid-back charm and relatable lyrics to the stage. With tracks like “Alrighty Aphrodite,” “Seventeen,” and the always emotional “Tommy’s Party,” they walked the line between fun and vulnerable in that very specific Peach Pit way. Their set was tight, and surprisingly high energy for a band so known for their mellow sound. From dancing to teary singalongs, the crowd was fully there for it. 


Houston’s indie crowd came out in full force, proving once again that this city knows how to show up for good music. Between the killer lineup, the perfectly chaotic energy, and the sea of long-haired homies, it was a pretty damn good night!
