May 2, 2025 – Warehouse Live Midtown in Houston, TX
Not even a torrential downpour could keep the fans away. As the rain came down in sheets on Friday night, fans packed Warehouse Live wall to wall for a sold-out stop on Mayday Parade’s Three Cheers for 20 Years Tour.
Microwave, Grayscale, and Like Roses set the stage with a killer lineup of openers that warmed up the soaked crowd and kept the emo vibes flowing. Each brought something unique, but all shared the same raw energy that made this night unforgettable.
From the moment Mayday Parade took the stage, the energy was electric. They opened with “By The Way”, immediately setting the tone for a night that felt like a mixtape of heartbreak, eyeliner, and every lyric we once scribbled on our notebooks. The crowd sang along to every word.
The set was structured like an “eras” tour, a time capsule of the band’s two-decade legacy. Hits like “Miserable at Best”, “Jamie All Over” and “Anywhere But Here” hit just as hard as they did when they first dropped, maybe even harder now. But it was “Jersey” that stood out most for me, a personal favorite that turned the room into a cathartic chorus of fists in the air and voices cracking from emotion.
From the rain-soaked entrance lines to the final note, this show proved that Mayday Parade still knows how to throw a party, no matter the weather. Twenty years in, they’re not slowing down, they’re just getting better.
Until next time, y’all.
